TSOLAKI Evanthia (Evie) is the daughter of Dr. Friderikos Tsolakis and Despoina Tsolaki (née Komodiki). She is a graduate of the Science Division of Lanitio Lyceum B and holds a Law Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Open University of Cyprus.
She works as a lawyer at the law firm Georgios L. Savvides & Co LLC. She served as a Municipal Councilor of Limassol for three consecutive terms (2002–2016). In the 2006 and 2011 elections, she received the highest number of votes within the DIKO party ticket.
During her tenure as Municipal Councilor, she served as:

Upon assuming the presidency of the Social Welfare Committee of the Municipality of Limassol (2007–2011), she led and actively participated in numerous important initiatives, including:
- Proposing and implementing the “Social Street Work” program in 2010, co-funded by the State;
- Proposing and launching in 2011 the Social Grocery Store of the Municipality of Limassol, the first Social Grocery Store established in Cyprus, operating entirely on a voluntary basis;
- Proposing the creation of a Multi-Purpose Social Programs Center in a municipal property in the Agios Ioannis area, housing the “Social Street Work,” “Free Hands,” “Social Grocery Store,” and “Open School” programs;
- Leading initiatives following the Municipality’s signing of the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life in 2008, including organizing a major conference with ministers and institutional representatives;
- Leading the implementation of the European program “Europe for Citizens” concerning the practical implementation of the European Charter for Equality in local communities regarding dependent persons (children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities);
- Leading the establishment of a Women’s Empowerment Workshop in 2010 involving 36 women;
- Contributing to awareness campaigns and social initiatives in cooperation with associations and foundations;
- Contributing to the upgrading and continuation of the “Free Hands” afternoon program for children from low-income families, securing state co-funding;
- Leading efforts in 2010 for the creation of a Radiotherapy Department in Limassol in cooperation with local authorities and cancer support organizations;
- Proposing the installation of playground equipment for children with mobility disabilities at the Limassol Seafront Multi-Functional Park (Molos), which was implemented in 2015;
- Advocating for state funding of local government social programs;
- Promoting coordination between the Municipality of Limassol, Social Welfare Services, the Holy Metropolis of Limassol, volunteer organizations, and other bodies dealing with vulnerable groups.
- She also submitted numerous proposals aimed at improving living conditions in Limassol and promoting the city as accessible and friendly to persons with disabilities, senior citizens, parents, children, residents, and visitors alike.
Additionally, she has served and continues to serve in the following positions:
During her tenure at the Executive Bureau of DIKO and while leading the Social & Humanitarian Affairs Sector, she was actively involved, among other issues, with the Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI). She attended sessions of the Parliamentary Labor Committee regarding the GMI legislation, informed DIKO’s Parliamentary Group, and prepared a legislative proposal amending the 2014 Guaranteed Minimum Income and Social Benefits Law, which was submitted in 2015.
As part of her MBA studies at the Open University of Cyprus, she completed a Master’s Thesis titled: “Incentives and Ways to Improve the Financial Situation of Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI) Recipients in Cyprus.”
Following the implementation of the Associations and Foundations Law of 2017, she voluntarily assisted dozens of associations and foundations, in her capacity as Honorary Member of the Limassol District Volunteerism Coordinating Council, in complying with the provisions of the law.

She also served as a foster mother to a six-year-old girl, who is now studying at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT – TEPAK).
